What is a Guild?

Guilds have been foundational to human development throughout history. But what exactly is a guild? The idea of a guild is very simple. It is a group of people gathered in mutual aid and purpose. The way it works is that people with shared interests and goals share with each other their skills, knowledge, and expertise. From this practice a community is born with an economy and a government of mutualism and protection.

How?

So how does this fit into the real world? It is not our aim to reinvent the wheel, rather our aim is to reorganize preexisting structures around this important community model in order to effect health and sustainability in both people and planet.  This is the SEND guild system.

A Guild System?

The SEND guild system will be comprised of a reorganized and empowered network of those enterprises necessary for sustaining life on earth i. e. “the craft guilds.”  A self-sustaining system in and of itself supported and empowered by circular economy and shared governance.

So What?

The bottom line is this: by reorganizing and empowering enterprises of sustainability around a model of mutual aid and protection, we will transform our community and our environment into a more sustainable whole.

Then What?

As our shared capacity grows, more guilds will be added. As more guilds are added more people will be supported. And from the guilds system the SEND community will emerge.

The SEND System Model:

​ 1. Regenerative Farming and Reforestation

This guild is foundational to our launch.  The goal is to lower the cost of farming and and transform our member’s farms to more sustainable practices improving the quality of our lives and the products we will provide to our customer and our environment.  We are informed further as to how nature self organizes into guilds that are formed for adaptation.

2. Education

Learning is a lifelong process of acquired through experience and the teaching and sharing of knowledge and skills.

3. Health & Wellness

This guild will work on promoting a balance of Body, Mind and Spirit by forming a deep understanding of physiological and mental health and healing practices.

4. Green Construction

Repurposing manufacturing utilizing triple bottom line practices that are integral to a circular economy. Including but not limited to utilization of renewable agricultural inputs for plastics, metals, food supplies, chemicals and carbon-based energy system.
