12/09/23: Living Fences and Winter Decorations in Manchester

Weather-permitting, we leave the common house by 10 am for a walk around the surrounding land where we will learn about many useful plants around Earthwell and the neighboring county preserve (Clark & Avis Spike Preserve) that may also be in your backyard!
We will learn how to establish woven living fences that can deter deer, increase biodiversity, provide food stock, and provide regenerative material for weaving and folk crafts. Finally, we will spend the afternoon after lunch learning to weave holiday ornaments with materials we collect.

• Workshop space is limited, so please RSVP as soon as possible.
• Dress in warm and waterproof layers for a 2 hour midmorning walk.
• Meal included and offered by The Strega Cafe.Please indicate any food allergies and vegan or other food preferences

COST: Suggested donation for workshop with meals included is on a sliding scale of $50-$80 with limited scholarships available
LOCATION: Earthwell Retreat Center. 18580 Grasslake Rd., Manchester, MI 48118. Please come up the long driveway and park by the main house. We will start our workshop Inside with refreshments @ 9:30 am
